Health Insurance
In the United States it is a good idea to have health insurance. Medical treatment can be extremely expensive, and health insurance will help you pay for part or all of medical costs you may have when you are sick or injured.
Many people in the United States receive health insurance through their employer. If you are employed, ask your employer if you can get health insurance through them.
If you are not employed you can pursue health insurance through the county you live in (see Chapter 5, Public Benefits, for more information on public benefits).
